We have addressed some pain points reported by our users and implemented a number of UX improvements focusing on report submission, markdown editor, and management of organization and program members. We have also addressed some known bugs that our team has found in the past few weeks.

📝 Reporting and Markdown Improvements

We made some improvements with the report submission of security researchers as well as the markdown editor that also covers the comment submission of all users who have access in a particular report page. These improvements are the following:

• File attachments on reports can now be downloaded securely instead of previewing them which could pose some security issues.

• External links can now be normally included in reports and comments to allow users to easily navigate to those links while proper security warnings have been put in place.

• Rendering issue on markdown tables have been properly addressed.
• Whitelisting of some special characters on filenames have been improved to allow image uploads without any issues while still keeping proper security checks on uploads.

👥 UX Improvement on Organization and Program Membership Invitation

Users have experienced a common UX problem that prevents them from inviting or adding members to their organizations or programs because they often forget to press enter after inputting an email address that they wish to add.

• We made the instructions more visible to help remind users about pressing enter after they finish inputting an email address that they wish to add.

  

• Copy-Pasting an email address will automatically be detected as a valid email already so users won’t need to press enter anymore.

• Registered users will appear in a dropdown for easy choosing of members that users wish to add.
